Unanswered Question
Mar 29th, 2009

I have recently got an AP and my colleague has configured it with password and of course we don't have it.

I have tried to reset the AP to its default config by starting it and holding the reset button as described in User guide, but after reset the password was spouse to change back to default pass which was Cisco according to User guide but i can't login

Can someone help please ?

I have this problem too.

The default password should be:

Username: Cisco

Password: Cisco

Enable: Cisco

How did you reset it to factory defaults? Maybe the configuration wasn't actually wiped out?

Is this an IOS AP? I ask because you say this is an "LAP", which is LWAPP. IOS APs do use "Cisco" as a username/password, but LWAPP APs don't. You need to configure passwords on the controller.

Additionally, you shouldn't need to log in to LWAPP APs except for some very specific reasons. All configuration is done on the controllers.
