what is the difference between private buffer and public buffer?

Hi all,

I wonder the difference between private buffer and public buffer.

is there anyone explain the difference??

when is the public buffer used?

when is the private buffer used?

"The interface buffer pools are used by the interfaces for input/output (I/O). When there are no more buffers in the interface buffer free list, the router goes to the public buffer pools as a fallback. There is no performance hit for a fallback. "

"The public buffer pools are located in DRAM, and are called system buffers."

"Private particle pools are used by the interfaces . . ."
