Hi,
Got a slight issue with our MOH implementation,
Added g711 codecs in service parameters, under Cisco IP media Streaming App increased volume from -2 to 2
setup MOH servers to use multicast ip's 239.1.1.1, 239.1.1.2 and 239.1.1.3 also set also set MOH audio source to enable multicast.
added servers to relevent media resource groups MRG1 and 2 and enable MOH multicast
Set all devices moh settings to default 1 and restarted phones
restarted IP media streaming app service on all servers
setup ccm-manager music-onhold on gateways on gw1 and gw2, also on gw1 and gw2 of another site and bound to fa0/0 on all gw's
But when I place a call on hold I just get silence, no more TOH which is good however no music.
Any help would be appreciated.
Cheers Liam

silence normally means there is a problem in the multicast configuration in the network infraestrcture.
enable ip multicast-routing and ip pim dense=mode (or other multicast protocol) in all the interfaces and devices.
Make sure G711 is the codec being used between the MOH server and the IP Phones using multicast (check region)

When an MTP resource gets invoked in a call leg at a site that is using multicast MOH, the caller hears silence instead of music on hold. To avoid this scenario, configure unicast MOH or Tone on Hold instead of multicast MOH.
