Best way to setup the 7925 Wireless Phones

Unanswered Question

Hello all,

I am getting ready to start a project that has 150 of the 7925 wireless phones.

What is the best way to program the wireless settings on these?

Will i have to hand key in each SSID etc for each phone?

I saw some tool for the 7925's called Wavelink, but it looked like you need a server for that.

is there a cisco tool that I can create a profile and copy to each phone?

thanks for any help!

Ken,

I too am faced with an identical situation and I am not looking forward to manually configuring the 250 7925G's at my site.

Certainly Cisco thought of this and has a solution for us that doesn't rely on a third-party product.

Here is the URL of WaveLink (I have no experience with the company or its products):

http://www.wavelink.com

I am looking forward to the answers to your query.

I have 1000 7921s in production and what a pain to consider making any change to the entire population of phones!

Listen up Cisco!

I don't understand why Cisco didn't release an Ethernet-capable base station that you could drop the phone into and allow it to pull down it's configuration - including wireless settings - from the TFTP server.

I finally have installed my Wavelink eval. I'll update this thread shortly with my conclusions.

Hi,

What is your conclusion on Wavelink? Do you consider it a worthwhile investment?

Yours faithfully,

Michael.
