Getting an NEC Univerge SV8100 to use Cisco PSTN Gateway

Hello,

We have a scenario with a customer who already owns an NEC IP telephony solution. Has anyone had any experince getting the SV8100 to use a CIsco router as a gateway to the PSTN? I am thinking if the system is IP enabled we should be able to get it to work with any H.323 gateway but there may be some "gotchas" that I am not aware of or maybe even where it won't work at all.

Hi,

I have the same scenario, and i'm facing the same problem. Using the debug on the VG, i can see that the digits are unable to be sent, disconnection cause code:65.

As from the NEC side, when a phone tries to dial, i can't see any logs on the VG, as if their not signaling between the two.

I have asked the NEC team to assist us in this, waiting their reply.

Please let me know if you find anything.

Regards,
