Hello,
Basically, you would just configure the vg224 as an h323 gateway, and have voip dial-peers on the CME pointing to the extensions on the VG224, pots dial-peers on the VG224 pointing to the specific port that the extension is on, and voip dial-peers on the VG224 pointing to the CME to facilitate outbound calling. Example
On the CME:
dial-peer voice 5000 voip
description VG224 Analog Phones
destination-pattern 500[0-9]
session target ipv4:[ip of vg224]
dtmf-relay h245-alphanumeric
On the VG224
dial-peer voice 5000 pots
destination-pattern 5000
port 2/0
dial-peer voice 5001 pots
destination-pattern 5001
port 2/1
dial-peer voice 5002 pots
destination-pattern 5002
port 2/2
etc, etc.
For outbound dialing from the analog phones:
dial-peer voice 9 voip
description Outbound Calling
destination-pattern [insert outbound calling pattern]
session target ipv4:[ip address of CME router]
dtmf-relay h245-alphanumeric
Hope that helped, if so please rate.

I do not recommend configuring the VG224 as H.323 GW. What you most likely want to so, is to configure it in SCCP mode. That will let you configure the analog phones just like ephones, with the full set of features.
