L2TP tunnel with ACE

Ahmed Shahzad

L2TPV3 tunnels passing through ACE does not work. Traffic is passing in one direction but not in other direction, however L2TP tunnel is up and showing packet in but not out. L2TP tunnel configuration is as under:

pseudowire-class ether-pw

encapsulation l2tpv3

protocol none

ip local interface Loopback0

ip dfbit set

interface FastEthernet2/1.480

encapsulation dot1Q 480

no ip directed-broadcast

xconnect 10.173.32.62 480 encapsulation l2tpv3 manual pw-class ether-pw

l2tp id 480 480

l2tp cookie local 8 0 0

l2tp cookie remote 8 0 0

Regards,

Shahzad.

Is ace interface configured in bridge mode ? Did you try with normalization turned off ?

Do you have a sniffer trace of the traffic going in and out of ACE ?

Gilles.

Thanks Gilles for your reply.

ACE are configured in Routed Mode. I did not turned off the normalization, could be please reply with its configuration. Any other suggestion.

Regards,

Shahzad.

L2TPv3 encapsulate data directly over IP (IP protocol number 115), not using UDP or TCP, do you think normalization would affect such traffic?
