I have an issue with ICMP packets sent to ACE. Our network management tool (Vitalnet) is sending small ICMP packets (paylod of 12 bytes only) and ACE responds in a very strange way. The response to the first packet is correct (only 12 bytes) and Ethernet padding is done in order to meet the requirements for minumum ethernet packet size. However following response are not doing ethernet padding anymore. Zeros are added to ICMP payload. As response is not same as the request vitalnet sees this as a violation. Anyone has any idea why is ACE doing this? Seems like packet size in Vitalnet cannot be changed
