No links on Ciscoworks LMS 3.1

Hi All,

We have encountered a problem with our client on their Ciscoworks LMS 3.0 wherein no links appeared from the Topology services of Campus Manager. We have here a Cisco 3825 core router and Cisco 2811 deployed on the branches with a tunnel configuration between them. Does the tunnel configuration have an effect on this because when I command "show cdp neighbor", we were not able to see any Cisco router neighbor on our core switch? Is there any way we can have this working on Ciscoworks without changing the configuration of the routers?

Appreciate your help on this. Thanks!

Campus Manager requires CDP to draw links. Without it, you will have unconnected devices. There is no way to manually add links in Campus. If it is not possible to run CDP on some interfaces or over some connections, then there is no other workaround within Campus Manager.

Hi Joe,

Does this mean that interface tunnel configuration on the router does not interfere with the Cisco discovery protocol? From the routers, cdp is running on all interfaces.

Some interface types/network do not support CDP (e.g. MPLS). If you do not see a CDP neighbor on a particular interface, then Campus will not be able to draw a link for that interface.
