The SR520W has built-in wireless and DHCP services. However, if I don't want to use the DHCP server of the 520 router, and choose to use a DHCP from another server (Windows SBS), the wireless clients that authenticate do not get an address assigned by the DHCP on the same subnet. I address the ip helper-address, to the dot11 interface, to see that if that would help - even though its the same subnet. Anyone know if the DHCP server on the router is a requirement for lease assignment on this 520 router? I know the routing and vlan config is okay, because the wireless works with a statically assigned address.
