Whats the difference between these two commands----standby 100 preempt and standby preempt.

As per my guess one for a particular group and the second one is for all the groups added to a SVI .

Hello Manish,

if you don't specify a group the command is meant for the default group number (that should be zero) not for all group.

The reason why i asked this question is after adding the command standby preempt its started to generate many state change message continuously non stop and each other switch start throwing each other to be come active one.
