Hi,
I have a Win2003 server and have specified my default gateway (a HSRP address) as the target. Someone told me it was not a good way to get ntp as there are known bugs with HSRP and NTP yet I can't find anything via Google. The routers are set to get their ntp times from a few GPS receivers in our network.
I guess its better to use a loopback but then I need to go into the registry on some 3rd parties kit to add more than one server I presume and i'd rather not touch the registry for contractual reasons.
I see no reason not to use the HSRP address but maybe you can suggest otherwise.
Cheers
