We are centralizing our final remote site soon with regards to UM. Need to move both Exchange mailboxes and Unity subscribers to HQ site. Amount of data is large for the pipe (80GB over 2mb), and we're thinking of doing replication (DoubleTake product). Basically, replicating the Exchange mailboxes over time, then 'moving' them from a temp server at HQ, to the real exchange server at HQ.
Is it a good idea to move the Unity subscribers first, then wait for replication and then exchange migration?
Or is it better to migrate all of the exchange mailboxes first, let it settle, then move the Unity subscribers.
I'm good with the tools used for the moves, but for some reason, I'm thinking we should do the Exchange side first. I just don't know how long we can be in that 'unsupported' state (local Exchange, remote Unity) and what problems it may cause.
Thanks for any advice or input.
