VPN ( port ) Urgent

Unanswered Question

I have a cisco 2600 Router which will be configured as EasyVPN server however its outside interface is having private ip i.e. 10.1.1.1 .

ASDL Modem ----- ROuter (vpn-ser) ---- Servers

Now the Public IP is on ASDL Modem which NATs to 10.1.1.0 and because of it I am having a private ip on the Router's outside interface.

Now i need to configure easyvpn server on that router which wont be a big task but the problem is that when users would be connecting to the vpn server from outside the network or any other place they wont be able to recognize that 10.1.1.1 ip because it is a private one . I want to know which port is used to connect to VPN so that I can configure port forwarding on the ASDL modem and when the data will come for that port it will forward it to 10.1.1.1.

I have this problem too.

Reconfigure the ADSL modem as bridge, eliminating NAT on it. You will then be able to see the public IP address and use it.

Alternatively, install an ADSL interface in the router and eliminate the external modem altogether.
