Moved to a different machine and logged in w/CCA.

Tried dragging RingList1.xml to the UC500 and it says something about validating the file and then"this file is not allowed to be uploaded to this device"

If have done this from the original machine that I installed it with, worked fine.

Both machines are are/were on the internal network of the UC500 192.168.10.x

Plenty of space on the flash, I find nothing in the settings related.

ideas?

What version of CCA are you using?  Can you attach the CCA logs from when it fails?

It sez CCA 1.9(1)

I see nothing in the event notification or system messages related to this.

On the device itself, I see nothing as well.

It looks like CCA1.9.1 restricts the drag & drop feature to IOS files only ?

I'm sure previous versions allowed any file type.

Phil

According to the BU and some information I recently asked (good question about drag and drop), I was told the following is supported in CCA 1.9.1...

TFTP is used for:
.AU, .WAV, .BIN and .TAR (only for CP-500 language files)
IOS Image and copying the Phoneload and Support-Files tar files.
CUCME language files (localization)
factory default configuration
system speedial.xml file

FTP is used for
CUE upgrade
CUE language files (localization)
backup/restore of CUE config and data files
AA script & prompt uploading

None of those seem to allow for my own .xml files.  I was hoping to jump start some apps from the local flash.

I guess someone thinks that is a bad idea.

Couple of more things I noticed.

There is no ftp to the box.  ftp 192.168.10.1 fails as I would expect it to on a router.  I am also a 192.168.10.x address

I created a new .raw file and drag and drop fails with this in the same manner.

Not sure how I can get any files onto flash a this point other than to perhaps setup a remote tftp server.

IOS does have an FTP client. Do:

copy ftp://user:password@x.x.x.x   flash:

IOS cannot act as an FTP server though.

Hope this helps.

Marcos

Thanks Marcos, I forgot all about that.  I am an old Cisco guy...

I got this to work, but the only way was by loading up an FTP server on a PC and copying to flash.  Seems like we need a product enhancement to allow drag and drop to actually function.

Thanks

-S

D&D should work, but only for certain file types.

Thanks,

Marcos
