HI Guys,

I have a brand new cisco 2811 router with 8 POE switch for Cisco IP phones. I am after a CCA type java application that I can run to configure the call manager express on this cisco 2811. Can anybody guide me how I can get that or how I can configure the call manager express.

Regards,

Yasin

Hi Yasin,

For ISR's, CCA's sister tool is Cisco Configuration Professional (CCP). More information on:

Thanks for the information Marcos. I also have a E1 PRI card installed on cisco 2811 router. Can you tell me if it can route the incoming  call on SIP TO header? or it just routes based on the SIP URI just like UC500?

Regards,

Yasin

What exactly is the relationship between your PSTN interface (E1 PRI) and the SIP side? I am not sure I understand your question. UC500 is an IOS based platform, just like the 2811. The VoIP features and behavior are the same.

Thanks,

Marcos

Hi Marcos,

I have used CCP to configure call manager express on 2811 rotuer. I noticed that it doesnt generate the config file like CCA used to do it for UC500. CCA generates the dial plans and all the translation when we configure it for SIP trunk. I managed to configure couple of SIP trunk users but not a whole SIP trunk like I did for UC500 via CCA. Can any one guide me how I can fully configure it. Your help will be highly appreciated.

Regards,

Yasin

Hi Yasin,

Unfortunately, we do not really deal directly with this application. My advice to you is that you open a TAC case with our Technical Support.

Thanks,

Marcos

This community is more focused on Cisco Small Business products - the 2811 is not part of the small business product family - you could use the Netpro forum for questions on this - http://forums.cisco.com/eforum/servlet/NetProf?page=main

. Having said that as Marcos pointed out, CCP is the GUI based config tool for the 2811. It does not support SIP Trunks yet as far as I know. You need to use CLI - a config guide is at:

http://www.cisco.com/en/US/products/sw/voicesw/ps4625/products_configuration_example09186a00808f9666.shtml

Routing based on TO header in a SIP INVITE message is NOT supported, call routing on the CME is based on the Request URI. Routing on the TO Header is really stretching the original intention of the TO header in the SIP standard and has various ramifications - hence this is not supported.
