2621 router's memory is creeping about 1% daily. Over time I have to reboot the router because it runs out of memory.
With the following command
show memory allocating-process totals
I see the following item keeps increasing daily:
0x80684018 3384880 37851 IP SNMP
So it looks like the router keeps storing SNMP messages. Any way to reduce the number of messages it keeps in the memory?
When I reboot the router goes to like 22% memory utilization. And since I see this process is increasing daily, I don't think its a memory going bad issue.
Appreciate any suggestions. Thanks

Hello Frank,
this is probably a software bug with a memory leakage happening for SNMP process.
I would suggest you to consider an IOS upgrade.
Hope to help
