3750 switch
No boot statement in the config
Configuration register is 0xF
Which IOS do you think this switch will load when it boots?
Directory of flash:/

Hello Tom,
it should load the image with the lowest file index in flash
c3750-i9-mz.122-20.SE1.bin
note: a config register of 0xF is normal for this switch
Hope to help

"it should load the image with the lowest file index in flash"
Tom, Giuseppe is correct and just to add one small thing: this is what they mean when you read in Cisco literature that the "first available IOS" in Flash will be loaded.

Do a "show boot" and it should tell you . If its loaded with the image in the "directory" it will have a boot statement and it would have been put there using the archive command which autmatically puts the boot variable in.

Hi,
3750 is a fixed configuration switch for which you won't be able to change it's config-register. Moreover, 0xF will load the first IOS in the flash:; which means "c3750-i9-mz.122-20.SE1.bin " in your case.
I am guessing you are getting confused with "drwx 128 Jul 13 2007 15:47:03 +01:00 c3750-ipbasek9-mz.122-37.SE". This is the directory that 3750 creates which can be noticed with "d" infront of that file.
I hope this will help you.
Regards,

Without a boot statement, I think it will load c3750-i9-mz.122-20.SE1.bin, being that it is the first on the list.
