we have 3120's in an hp blade.

we want to stack 2 of them.

is it necessary to reboot one of the switches, both switches, or any at all?

OR

Will the switches recognize they are being stacked when the cable is plugged into both of them.

The reason i ask is that we made the necessary connections, however a stack wasnt recoginized

I reloaded one of the swithces..and still no go

Hi Richard,

I don't have much information about these blade switches. However you may want to have a look at the installation guide which covers "Planning and Creating a switch stack" -

http://www.cisco.com/en/US/docs/switches/blades/3120/hardware/quick/guide/3120gsg.html#wp41660

and

http://www.cisco.com/en/US/docs/switches/blades/3120/software/release/12.2_50_se/configuration/guide/swstack.html#wp1225976

Not sure if this will be of any help to you.
