Hi,
Core sw(vlan10) == Etherchannel== Access(Vlan10)Gi0/1 === Server (vlan 10).
Access sw = 2960
I need to restrict the BW on switch port where my server connected(gi0/1). I have to restrict my port utilization to 80% as my server pumping huge data on port Gi0/1 and it should not exceed to more than that.
ex: if it is fe port, Traffic/data flow should not cross the 80mb
Is there any option like rate limit on switch port

just do policing

policy-map map1
class classdefault
police [amount in bit] confirm-action trasmit exceesd-action drop
then apply it to ur interface
intg0/0
service-policy map1 input
good luck
if helps rate

Hi,
I appreciate your prompt response..I will try and let know the details.
It seems to be how we apply on L3 interfaces like that only.I thought its something different on L2 network.
