Site to research know bugs in Cisco IOS

Where can I find the site that discusses known problems in IOS? I updated to 12.4(24) on a 2811, and we started seeing weird utilization in our monitoring software, but the version before it doesn't do it 12.4(23). The problem is that 12.4(24) supports BGP in IPBase, but 12.4(23) doesn't. I thought there was a site that you could see all of the known problems with current and previous IOS versions.

There are several resources that may help you:

- check the release notes for the release, especially the section on open caveats.

- check the Bug Tool Kit you can search in it for bugs in particular releases.

You can also see the IOS release notes.

BTW, you can use the 12.4(T) train. BGP on IP Base has been available on the T train for quite some time (beginning with 12.4(11)T, to be exact).

I updated over the weekend to IPBase 12.4(23), and when I try to create the bgp process, we're getting the "protocol not in this image" error.

That's 12.4(Mainline). If you want a code other than 12.4(24)T that is somewhat stable, try 12.4(15)T8 which supports BGP on IP Base.

BTW, what do you me by "somewhat stable?" Have the 12.4.2xT been unstable in some regard?

Since the purpose of the T train is to introduce new technologies it is inherently less stable than mainline code.

I have been running 12.4(15)Tx in quite a few routers and it has done well for us.

I am looking at newer versions of code to address some of the recently announced vulnerabilities. But for stability and functionality I believe that 12.4(15)T8 would be good.
