ASA failover, ssl license

Have 2 ASA in failover mode, purchase ssl lic's, now being instructed we must purchase additional ssl lic for failover ASA. Is this correct?

Hi,

I'm afraid it is. I just went through the same thing and if you put the SSL lic on the primary ASA it disables failover. Once I put the SSL lic on the standby I could enable failover again.

I understand that there may be a feature in an upcoming release that may change this requirement. But at present yes it is required to purchase a separate set of licenses for the second ASA.
