Can we see the phone status if the user is on the phone or not? before we reset the phone.

Since we will disconnect the phone if we reset the phone.

We have CUCM 6.11.

Thanks

If you send a reset to a phone, it will only reset if it is not in use.

as mentioned, calls will not be dropped, but since communication will be lost the only softkey available will be endcall

Hi Sienz,

Just to add a note to the good tips from Danny and Java. When you reset an IP Phone you will see a note in the Pop-up that mentions the fact that the phone will not actually be reset until the current/active call has been released. So you are safe there.

You can Web to the IP Address of the phone itself to check on the current status;

https://xx.xx.xx.xx/

Hope this helps!
