Hi all,
Does anyone know why dial peer 11 below is matching for 00424123123 ?
It matches dial-peer 11 and drops the last 2 digits off. It should match dial-peer 12.
I have also tried with 0........$ as the dial-peer 11 pattern with no luck.
dial-peer voice 11 pots
description Local calls
destination-pattern 0........
port 0/0/0:15
forward-digits 8
dial-peer voice 12 pots
description Mobile and Long Distance
destination-pattern 00[2-9]........
port 0/0/0:15
forward-digits 10
debug voip dialpeer all...

hi,
trydial-peer voice 11 pots
description Local calls
destination-pattern 0[1-9].......
port 0/0/0:15
forward-digits 8
this will work unless you have the 1st digit "0"for local calls

It's finding an exact match and sending the call. That dial plan isn't going to work, as it's overlapping. I've attached a sample dial plan I use in the states for 10 digit local dial area codes. The last entry is a "catch all".
dial-peer voice 1 pots
description Dial-peer to LD
destination-pattern 1..........
port 0/0/0:23
prefix 1
!
dial-peer voice 2 pots
description Dial-peer to Local
destination-pattern [2-9].........
port 0/0/0:23
!
dial-peer voice 3 pots
description Dial-peer for 911 calls
destination-pattern 911
port 0/0/0:23
forward-digits all
!
dial-peer voice 4 pots
description Default Dial-peer to PSTN
destination-pattern .T
port 0/0/0:23

hi,
trydial-peer voice 11 pots
description Local calls
destination-pattern 0[1-9].......
port 0/0/0:15
forward-digits 8
this will work unless you have the 1st digit "0"for local calls

Thanks for the suggestion Marwa. I will give this a try in the morning.
From what I have read I thought dial peers were matched based on longest match. These suggestions seem to imply otherwise. Anyone able to clarify?
Kent.

It'll use the first match.

Worked perfectly thanks :)
