We are running ccm 5.1.3 and have an MGCP CAS T1 connected to another phone system. I would like to know if there is a way to present a predefined name on inbound calls from that T1 tie trunk. Currently we get unknown name when receiving a call. I know caller ID doesn't work but can I define a trunk group name to display so at least our users know what location is calling. We don't need the number at this point.

On the voice port you should be able to configure:
voice-port 0/0/0:0
station-id [name] | [number]

Thanks for the reply but it did not work for me. I don't see the station ID name or number when receiving a call. Does something need to be enable or disable to allow me to see it?

Sorry, for MGCP you would need to do this in CUCM.
It looks like in the Port configuration of the T1 you can specify a Caller ID DN. I would try putting the ID there, resetting the gateway, and seeing if this helps.

Sorry, didn't work. I just put in a 5 digit number for the DN and it didn't come up. I did reset the gateway as suggested. Thank you.

It sounds like you won't be able to do this on T1 CAS. If you had a fgd-eana circuit you can receive ANI on that, however.
