I just upgrade my uc500 to cme version 7. Im starting from scratch, using the default startup-config (CME) and restore factory defaults (CUE).
I'm unable to login in the CME Gui. I'm using the defaults user and password (cisco). Im receiving the message "Login to cme as administrator failed, check your cme configuration" all the times.
Can somebody tell me what is the trick?.
Thanks.

admin username and password are under telephony-service, check "show run".

I have the identical problems with UC520-7.0.2 packet and cue version 3.2.
Obviously the "web admin system name cisco password ......" command is present. I've also done a deep erase and reinstall of all CUE files...
Anyone have some ideas?
Thank you

Are you logging in to cue, or to cme ?

Initializing the cue.
When the cue try to syncronize with cme to import phones, it ask me to digit hostname (or ip address), web user name and web password, inserted all these info the error occur and the cue does not syncronize with cme. So I can't initialize it and login.
Thanks

Does manual login fail also ?
I think you cal also skip syncronization and manually insert phones.

No, the syncronization is mandatory to initialize cue, if the cue is not syncronize I can't create phones and extensions.

Obviously the "web admin system name cisco password ......" is present.
I copy the UC520W-U8-4FXO-K9-factory-7.0.2.cfg to the startup-config (owerwrite).The IOS is the uc500-advipservicesk9-mz.124-20.T2.
The cue is 3.2.1.
In the default configuration the ip http server and ip http secure-server lines are present, when i try open the url 10.1.10.1 with ie, it doesnt work. If I type no ip http secure-server the cme gui appears. The problem is the username and password used to connect the cue to the cme (cisco) doesnt work. As I mentioned before, the error said something about that user is not an cme administrator.

The url is http://
without /ccme.html you go to IOS GUI and cme credentials are not accepted.

CONGRATULATIONS!!
Adding all the GUI files of UC520 in the flash syncronization successed. Now Cue can login into UC520 and create phones.
So I fixed my problem.
Thank you very much
But I don't remember that in the older versions of CME or UC500 these files was needed...

to clarify, Im opening the cue gui in a uc500, the http://10.1.10.1. it open the Cisco Unity Express page, in this moment the use of cisco username and password works fine because it is the default user for the uc500 CUE.
After type the cue username and password (cisco) I get the next screen, I select the "Run Initialization Wizard" option, is on this point where the CUE ask for a CME user. This page request a Hostname, the field shows the 10.1.10.2., a Web User Name, Web password, XML User Name, XML password.
Im using cisco and cisco as username and password but it doesnt work.

OK, is the same problem I had.
Verify that in the flash of the UC520 you have all GUI files of the UC520, if not, copy all the file in the flash.
In the "hostname" field you must enter the ip address of the cme, in the "web username" field the web admin user configured under telephony service and in the "web password" the pèassword of the same line.

FYI.
I fix the problem. I think the problem was to extract the files directly to the CF flash via linux tar and CF reader.
I just format the CF and use the archive tar /extract command and now is working.
Thanks.
