That's odd. When you run setup from icm\bin and go to the Peripherals TAB, you normally check the box for the PG you need (in your case PG1 and PG2), then the registry entry you noted for PG02 will be changed from 1 to 0; and the registry entry in Router for PG2 will be changed to 1. They will be set in pairs.
Perhaps you tried to activate the PG without running setup, and did one registry value but not the other.

Geoff

Is call server showing UP in the OAMP?

finally solved the issue.
it was in partial state.
the DeviceDisabled reg key in Router setup for VRU PG number(HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Cisco Systems, Inc.\ICM\customer\RouterA\DMP\CurrentVersion\Devices\PG02) was set to 1.
once changed to 0 it worked. phew..
donno what was the issue and why the key is 1 by default.

thxx Geoff,
that was exactly where we were going wrong.
actually this setup is 7.5 ICM and now we dont check the PG in router setup.
one has to put the exact number of PG in the field that are to be active.
like if you have installed 2 PG's then you can put 1,2 or 1-2 or 1 2 and so forth for more PG's.
In this we just put the number 1(CCM) and obviously that PG was working. we missed out with 2(VRU) and it was down.
We run the setup for both the PG's except that we were missing this VRU PG Number in router setup.

Ah, yes - the new 7.5 method. Thanks.

sandeep i am facing the same issue in my redundent CVP server while the first one is working fine. in OAMP both cvps are UP and also registered in gatekeeper. the only thing i still need to do is to upload the license file on CVP B but i don't think this could be the issue. Any help from you guys will be appreaciatble.
Thanks in advance

It runs with two active ports without a licence
Are you saying that PIM1 connected to CSA is active, but PIM2 connected to CSB is not active?
1. Run setup and check that you have configured the PIM correctly.
2. If using a hostname, is it resolveable. If using IP address, is there a typo
3. is the port 5000
4. make sure it is enabled

Geoff

no , my both PIMs are up and connected. Infact it was working fine and i had about 130 calls on it with out license for testing. But when i stop my CVP A call server and through a call to CVP B for fail over test the got drop and Voice Browser displayed me Out of Service as the call server is not coneected.
Whne i look into Gatekeeper both VBs are up and registered. When i look into OAMP both Call Servers are UP and at PG side both PIMs are UP as well. then why VB is not able to communicate with CS.

Do you perhaps have both VBs configured to use the same Application Server, Call Server A, by mistake? Run VBAdmin and check the settings on each one and compare.

Dear Geoff;
I am facing the same thing, but in the OAMP is shown to be down and not able to get any statistics on this CVP Call Server.
Actually the PG01, PG02 and PG03 are enabled in the router registry (while PG01 for CUCM PG, PG02 for CVP Call Server PG and PG03 for the Media Routing PG).
It was working before and I was receiving calls on it, but suddenly this happened.
Actually, an upgrade happened from version 7 to version 8 and we imported new licenses for the VXML Server but did not import new licenses for the CVP Call Server. Could be a license issue because we have to import the new license to change from version 7 to version 8?
Thanks in advance for the help.

Bilal

Hi,
I am having one ICM 7.1.5. I have two CVP servers and I want to add these servers in ICM. For CVP A I have added a PIM and Its fine in BOTH side A and SIDE B ICM. added one more VRU PIM for CVP B server and it is in idle. I added the PIM in side B ICM server not in Side A and Currently Side A is active and in production.
Each and Every time I rerun the ICM setup, I can not see the VRU PIM 2 for CVP B server. It is not visible too. For this Call server is in Partial Service for a ver long time..
Did any one fased the issue..
Thanks in advance
Karthik
