Extension Monitor Problem

We replaced a UC500 and upgraded the software at the same time.

With the old box and software, a monitored extension with a voicemail would switch to the offhook icon when the extension was in use. With the new box and software, it continues to show the voicemail envelope and does not change to the offhook icon. This results in the operator sending calls to someone on the phone.

Can someone please help with this?

Can you share the which IOS you were using before and which one now, as well as phone loads?

Are you sure you were using monitor buttons and not watch buttons? I believe watch is what you really want to use in this case.

The watch button did seem to do what they wanted. I am pretty positive the old box and config had monitor.

Did they change the functionality at some point regarding the watch and monitor buttons?
