Hi
I have a LMS3.1 instalation that has arround 2500 devices in the DCS. I want to make a back-up of the database every week but i gat an error that is not enough space. Ok i understand this but the space that it requires is huge (arround 60GB)
I use only RME, CM and IPM and keep reports, logs etc..only for one month.
What could be the problem? Is this normal?

Perhaps you have some huge logfiles?!?
That is not impossible on a LMS server ;-)
I think the best way is to look on your server for big files with a freeware tool such like "Primitive File Size Chart" or something like this.

Thanks for reply
The entire log directory is 2,4 Gb so is not so big.

Are there other huge files on the server which will be backuped?

i do not think there are another huge files. Logs should be the bigest files.
Where should i look for?
Entire CSCopx direcory has 12 GB..

What platform is your LMS on? If on Solaris, check the size of /var/adm/CSCOpx/files, specifically /var/adm/CSCOpx/files/rme/dcma/difffiles. If on Windows, do a search for difffiles and look both up and down the folder hierarchy.

The platform is Windows.
The Difffiels directory is on a separate partition and it has 1.3 Gb and 24k files. Also i have a Devfiles directory with 1Gb and 11k files.
I agree that the number of files is big but the entire space occupied is not so big.
Any other ideas?
