Hi,

I have tried to configure some AP's as mesh AP's using WLC4402-12 running 4.1.192.35M (Mesh)software version, working along with Cisco document crn4119235M.

unfortunately i can't find the mesh tab under wireless->AP config...

is there any country restrictions regarding the mesh?

Not applicable

I think there is no such restrictions. This link lists the path to be used in the Web user interface to configure the mesh access point parameters.

http://www.cisco.com/en/US/docs/wireless/access_point/mesh/4.0/deployment/guide/config.html#wp1041750

Well this is an old guide which instruct how to configure AP1020 and 1030 AP's (which were Airespace models).

I'm looking for how-to with AP1131 models...

Thx anyway

If the AP Mode is Local, there will be no Mesh TAB. You must change AP Mode to Bridge and apply the configuration. Keep in mind, when you do this, the AP will not join the controller if you have not added the MAC address.

Thanks, i will try to follow these steps and see what happens.

What about licensing? i read that you have to acquire a license for the controller in order to work in indoor mesh technology.
