limiting bandwidth on 3550 switch port

I need to implement a bandwidth limitation on an Ethernet Port on my Cisco 3550 box. I need to limit the port to input and output no more than 4 MG of traffic.

How can I effect this? I tried using the srr-queue command but it is not apparently in the IOS code we are running... (12.2.44).

You don't mention if you have the SMI or EMI image on the 3550. With EMI code oyu can implement QOS and police anything over 4mb on those ports.
