Hello All,
We are currently quoting a UC520 for a police station application. They will have a handful of phones lines coming in through a T1 line primarily. The question was asked that if a situation arose where the T1 went down and those phones lines were no longer functioning, could the UC520 fail-over to the built-in 4 port FXO ports for both incoming and outgoing calls.
Please advise.
Thanks.

Brian,
For incoming calls there's nothing we can do on our side. That is controlled by the phone company. I think you can have them do re-routing, with some limitations.
For outbound, we can do it no problem. You can configure trunks and give them different selection orders. Perhaps you will require CLI, depending on how granular you want to get.
Thanks,
Marcos

Marcos,
For inbound it makes sense that the carrier would have to handle that failover.
CLI is not problem for that configuration, however is there any documentation available that I could look over for that?
Thanks.

If this is not an urgent request, we can wait for CCA 2.0 which will have an enhancement to create trunk groups of your POTS. No CLI will be required.
Thanks,
Marcos
