I need to be able to provide redundant power to 2 x 2821 routers and 2 x 2960 switches.
I have a choice between using 2 x RPS2300, each with 2 of the 750 watt PSU's or simply using a static transfer switch (from APC or some other).
The RPS2300 solution will cost me about â¬4,000, but the static transfer switch will cost me about â¬600. Quite a difference!
I know the the RPS will protect from an internal PSU failure, but how likely is this?
I'm thinking of just getting a static switch, unless there are some (very!) compelling reasons to go with the RPS.
Thanks in advance
