Hello,
we are currently testing the SBL feature of the AnyConnect client on notebooks. There have also deployed SafeGuard, a full-disk encryption software which also relies on there own GINA dll.
Anybody a clue, how to solve such issues? Is there anything else how one can enable Windows Domain Logon after AnyConnect created a vpn connection?
Thanks
Mathias

When the AnyConnect Start Before Logon GINA is installed on a user's PC using the standalone installer (WinGinaSetup-xxxx.msi), the GINA does not appear on the login screen after a reboot. This occurs because the AnyConnect GINA requires that the following be installed:
â¢AnyConnect Client
â¢An AnyConnect profile (.xml file) in Documents and Settings/All Users/Application Data/Disco/CiscnyConnect VPN Client/Profile/ with the following line in it:
Network administrators must push out a profile using their SMS or other software deployment engine along with the MSI files if they want to perform a preinstall of the profile.

Thanks for your answer. In my particilar case the issue is not about starting the AnyConnect SBL GINA. Is has been sucessfully installed, as well as AnyConnect and the profile.
The issue is about having another conflicting GINA allready on the same Windows maschine. This is here a GINA from the full disc encryption software which is complaining about.

Were you able to resolve the GINA conflict? if Yes what was the solution? Any response would be greatly appriciated.

Hi,
we were not able to solve this issue. Nevertheless this test has been done with Win-XP, with is allready quite outdated. Also with Windows 7 there are still issues with the parallel support of Safeguard and AnyConnect.
Kind regards

You can also avoid conflicts with GINA from Cisco, Sophos and other vendors by implementing Synergix AD Client Extensions. With AD Client Extensions installed, user logon experience is same in the office and when remote. And for remote computers where users logon with cached credentials, password expiration notification, group policy refreshes, kerberos ticket refreshes, user logon scripts, duplicate DNS entry re-conciliation all happen seemlessly.
