Hi,

i misconfigured the router 26xxXM and now the router won't boot the installed IOS. Following Messages appeares repeadly and the Break Sequence isn't acceppted:

System Bootstrap, Version 12.2(8r) [cmong 8r], RELEASE SOFTWARE (fc1)

Copyright (c) 2003 by cisco Systems, Inc.

C2600 platform with 98304 Kbytes of main memory

loadprog: bad file magic number: 0x0

open: failed to find and/or load the bootloader: "flash:orig.cfg"

loadprog: error - on file open

boot: cannot load "c2600-ik9o3s-mz.123-26.bin"

So how can i clear the NVRAM or factory default, i don't get the Rommon Console.

Password Recovery Procedure for the Cisco 2600 and 2800 Series Routers

http://www.cisco.com/en/US/products/hw/routers/ps259/products_password_recovery09186a0080094675.shtml

OK, i looked up this topic. But the Terminal doesn't accept the Break Sequence.

I tried several Terminal Programs (Terraterm, hyperterm) with fitting Break Sequences, but the router ignore this and is going to progress the Boot process.

Ronny

Are you using a USB-to-Serial interface?

No, i used a Com-Port (it's tested) and the Cisco console cable. That's not the Problem. I configured this Router over this line before and was set the Boot index.

use Ctr-Backspace Break will work.  It worked for me.
