Hi,

How can i use CW to view configurations of routers which are dated in the past.

Any link for this?

Thanks.

Archived configurations can be be viewed using the Version Tree under RME > Config Mgmt > Archive Mgmt > Version Tree.

Thank you,

Any options to see the interface status difference between recent and last configurations?

Also, to see any hardware changes on the device recently & what changes were done on it?

Thanks.

Both functions are available in CiscoWorks LMS' Resource Manager Essentials (RME).

The RME Config Editor allows you to compare versions of configuration files. To compare versions of configuration files in the public work area:

1. Select RME > Config Mgmt > Config Editor > Public Configs.

2. Select the configuration file and click Edit.

3. Click Tools.

4. Select Compare Config.

(Reference Chapter 11 of the RME User Guide.)

Use RME's 24 Hour Inventory Change Report (Resource Manager Essentials > Reports > Report Generator) to see a report of what's changed in the past 24 hours. Refer to Chapter 6 of the RME User Guide (or your online help) for more info.

It would be helpful if the link to RME user guide is posted.

Thanks.

If you want to compare two versions of the config for a given device, go to RME > Config Mgmt > Archive Mgmt > Compare Configs. Choose the type of comparison you want to do.

To view hardware changes on a device, you want to use the RME Change Audit report. This can be run under RME > Reports > Report Generator > Change Audit > Standard Report. Select ICServer as the application, INVENTORY_CHANGE for the category, mode ALL, and user ALL.
