SRW2016 Software Upgrade/Recovery

Unanswered Question
Apr 20th, 2009

Can anyone help me with this problem.

I recently acquired a used SRW2016 in perfect working order (I checked it) and then made the mistake of trying to update the software image. Since then I cannot get any image to boot and cannot install a new one despite many attempts with XMODEM.

The switch is hardware version 1.1 with Boot image "BOOT Software Version Built  08-Jun-2004  09:48:10" I've tried installing a new boot image via XMODEM:

### Send (x) runtop_boot-101.rfb: NAK on sector

### Send (x) runtop_boot-101.rfb: 524544 bytes, 7:16 elapsed, 1202 cps, 31%

-- Download complete --

Wrong file format. Writing aborted.

Perform WARM BOOT ...

... and also a new firmware version (the older for compatibility reasons with the old Boot image version) on top of the existing Boot image:

### Send (x) runtop-10086.ros: NAK on sector

### Send (x) runtop-10086.ros: 3924096 bytes, 50:45 elapsed, 1288 cps, 33%

-- Download complete --

Wrong file format. Writing aborted.

Perform WARM BOOT ...

Anyone got any ideas?
Thanks in anticipation

I have this problem too.
