Username and Password

We have about 50 3Com APs in our site and about 200 apartments. I would like to assign usernames and password for the tenants trying to access the network both wirelessly and wired.I would like to have a home page where they would be prompted to enter a username and password.

1.How can i implement this feature..?

2.Do i need to get a managemnt software or any hardware?

3.Will cisco work with the 3com hardwares i have.?

BTW...I have 3com firewall,router and a 3com wireless lan controller.

1. You want to implement a "captive portal".

2. Probably, unless: a) your combination of 3Com gears already come with the abilities to redirect internet-bound traffic to the captive portal and perform the authentication you desire themselves, or b) you choose to outsource the captive portal to a third-party commercial operator.
