Hi,
Thank in Advance for you help.
We have router cisco 1000 with image c1005-ny-mz_112-14.bin. Recently we are seeing on this router with high memory utilization and sometimes high CPU utilization. Rebooted the router couple of times in order to clear any of the memory leakage(Not sure this is the correct troubleshooting).
Router_1024>sh mem sum
Head Total(b) Used(b) Free(b) Lowest(b) Largest(b)
Processor 22E70A0 626528 626504 24 0 24
I/O 2380000 524288 297128 227160 207172 216424
Router_1024>sh proc cpu
CPU utilization for five seconds: 5%/4%; one minute: 8%; five minutes: 8%
I would appreciate if someone from this group can help me providing the troubleshooting steps(Practicle) to resolve the highmemory utilization errors. Attached the sh mem summary output from this router. Please post your comments if you need any other information.
Have a good day !!!!!
Thanks & Regards
Ranga

Hello Ranga,
for high cpu usage you can follow the following document
http://www.cisco.com/en/US/products/hw/routers/ps133/products_tech_note09186a00800a70f2.shtml
for memory issues:
http://www.cisco.com/en/US/products/sw/iosswrel/ps1831/products_tech_note09186a00800a6f3a.shtml
your cpu doesn't look like too high.
memory is totally used you can try to use
sh proc mem to see how processes use memory and what processes use the most resources.
sh mem sum
Head Total(b) Used(b) Free(b) Lowest(b) Largest(b)
Processor 22E70A0 626528 626140 388 0 80
I/O 2380000 524288 299464 224824 207172
Hope to help
