Dear Ms./Sir, I am currently assessing the possible replacement of legacy equipment at a client site. This gear includes Nokia IP530 appliances as well as some older PIX appliances. They also have IBM proventia IPS appliances deployed. My approach is going to recommend we replace the current legacy gear with ASA 5500's [with the AIP-SSM modules] at edge locations. We are also going to be doing a general network refresh which will include deploying the Cisco 2821 ISR. I have done some research on CW SIMS because I'd like to have the client HD mgmt folks be able to manage the new infrastructure centrally. My question is simply, does CiscoWorks SIMS essentially 'snap' into the latest version of CiscoWorks as a general network mgmt. platform? I could not find in the documentation where it actually indicates that. I don't want to have to setup 2 seperate CW servers one with SIMS and one with 'regular' CW's.
Thanks for your time.
