Hi...

I'm getting the same error on a new CM7.0 installation.

When I press either Personal Directory or Corporate Directory, the screen displays Error, contct administrator.

Can you remember how you fixed yours?

Thanks... Phil..

How are using DNs resolve yes or no ?

If yes make sure you didnot configure the ip address on the CM7.0

If no put only the ip address

Dominique

Hi Dominique,

Yes we are using DNS. I've set the IP addresses in Enterprise Parameters back to the Name, and reset all devices.... Still getting the same error.

I think it might be a firmware issue. The phones have SCCP75.8-4-3S but I noticed there is cmterm-7975-sccp.8-4-4.cop.sgn available now.

I am going to try this now.

Regards,

Phil..

Phil have you entered those links into a browser and see the results?

Hi Jay,

Yes, from an IE browser I get the following when I enter the URL http://10.12.0.10:8080/ccmcip/xmldirectory.jsp

-

-

Personal Directory

http://10.12.0.10:8080/ccmpd/pdCheckLogin.do?name=undefined

-

Corporate Directory

http://10.12.0.10:8080/ccmcip/xmldirectoryinput.jsp

Select a directory

And.. when I put http://10.12.0.10:8080/ccmcip/xmldirectoryinput.jsp into the IE browser I get:-

This indicates that the CallManager is working ok. I put a network analyser on this morning to compare what packets the non-working phone sends against the packets from a working phone on a seperate CallManager 6.1 system.

When I press Directory button on the working CM6 phone, I immediately see a 3 way handshake followed by a HTTP GET.

The debug shows: GET /ccmcip/xmldirectory.jsp?locale=English_United_States&name=SEP005056C00008 HTTP/1.1\r\n

(from the IP phone)

When I press the Directory button on the non-working CM7 phone I don't see any packets from the phone. However the scree still says "Error, contact administrator".

From this it looks like the phone, not the CallManager. I've upgraded the Firmware to SCCP75.8-4-4S but no luck.

Did you get a fix for this? Thanks

Hi,

I did get the problem resolved. It turned out to be a problem with the CallManager name being used instead of the IP address. I was (totally) surprised this was the case, because I thought I'd set IP addresses instead of names everywhere.

If you still need to know, I'll fire up my VMware to refresh my memory..

Rgds,

Phil.
