Hi all, when configuring my lan for high avaialibility, when using eigrp, is the standard 5 and 15 timers ok, or should I tweak them down? is this a global timer or set on each interface ?

Hello Carl,
it is interface specific.
p hello-interval eigrp 10 ?
<1-65535> Seconds between hello transmissions
IP Fast Convergence using BFD can provide the best results.
However, standard timers are enough for most scenarios
Hope to help

I want to add the following to the explanation of Guiseppe:
Note that if you change the hello interval, the hold time is not automatically adjusted to account for this change - you must manually adjust the hold time to reflect the configured hello interval
ip hold-time eigrp x
