PIX to ASA Upgrade

I am preparing to upgrade my PIX 525's to ASA 5520's. I am wondering if anyone has experience with the migration tool and happens to have any pointers. I am planning to use the PIX-to-ASA Migration tool to copy my configuration and would like to hear from anyone who has had real experience with this tool.

Also, any other hints or suggestions would be helpful.

Current PIX version 7.0(7)

2 PIX 525's configured for failover

Hi James,

I've used it once and it worked fine.

The failover system used by the PIX is quite different from the one used by the ASA (using a failover cable) - that's the only thing I can think of that could be tricky, but it should prompt you along the way if it comes across any potential problems

You're already using version 7 code, which is the same type of code that the ASA uses so it should be quite easy
