Hi,
How to enable fax on a E1 PRI link?
Should it configured from the Telco Service Privider?
If the provider enable the FAX on the E1 link using a DID, how to enable this on my CCME.
In the CCME, I think that I just use a simple Dial-peer voice to connect to the ATA186, like this :
!===========
dial-peer voice 100 voip
description To Cisco ATA186
destination-pattern 49..
session protocol sipv2
session target ipv4:172.16.1.2
dtmf-relay rtp-net
codec g711ulaw
no vad
! =============
I'm using a C2811, IOS=12.4(11)T
Is it correct?
Is there a weblink about configuring fax with PRI lines.
Best regards,
Antra

Yes, that is fine. Remember you need network-clock-participate and network-clock-select for the PRI. Then you have problems search, "ata fax troubleshoot".

There is 3 number that have been configured by the Telco provider for us.
2 of them is configured for Fax.
There is no problem about DID, I just use translation rules.
My question is :
Does Fax is enabled by default on the PRI Line (Controller E1, serial 0/0/0:15,voice-port 0/0/0:15, IOS)?
Do I need tape some commands to enable the FAX into the PRI Line.
Best regards

1 - Yes. Router doesn't know it is a fax unless you do special configuration for that.
2 - No.

"1. Yes. Router doesn't know it is a fax unless you do special configuration for that. "
I don't understand about this special configuration.
Can you give me some examples.
Best regards.

That would be fax relay or fax email.
It is not your case and you do not need to worry about it.
