Does anyone have a step by step document which walks you through upgrading IPCC to IPCC 7x. Also, any areas to watch out for?

The ultra-short answer: There is no upgrade. You back everything up, format the server, and rebuild it from scratch. There is a way to port historical reporting data forward (see URL).

Hi,

How about upgrading from IPIVR 3.0 to IPIVR 7.0.

Do we follow the same approach -- formatting as explained above?

Thanks

Yep; the only difference between IPIVR and CCX is the license file.

I believe that the HR tool does NOT support IPIVR at this time though. You would want to read the manual to be sure. Even if it did you would have to upgrade to IPIVR 4.0(5) first.

You'll have to rebuild everything manually for the upgrade. (We went through one about a month ago.)

The HRDataMigrator is a great tool but be aware if you try to stage your configuration (JTAPI and RM) before you run the tool, there is a very good chance it will remove all your RM information.

We upgraded to a new server at the same time during our upgrade so we were able to get everything staged. We ran the data migrator just as our window started and it removed all the RM configuration (JTAPI, scripts, documents, applications, etc. were all still fine.)

Overall the install wasn't bad, being able to have both servers running at the same time was very helpful. Just remember, you have to re-create EVERYTHING including the stuff in the desktop administrator. The HRDataMigrator document is pretty good to follow.
