Hi,
I have Cisco 3620 router with NM-8A/S card with eight DB60 male connectors. I want to do terminal server (router 3620) and connect it to other Cisco devices on console port (RJ45). Which kind, cable type can i use? Could You help me?
I think this:
R3620_NM8A/S(DB60female)>><<(DB60male)--cable--(DB25male)>> <<(DB25female)--cable--(DB9male)>><<(DB9female)--console_cable--(RJ45male)>>
<<(RJ45female)consoleportSwitch_Cisco
Is this correct?
Mateusz
P.S. Sorry for my English.

Hello Mateusz,
the cable setup you are suggesting looks like fine.
Hope to help

Thanks for solution but I have some troubles.
R3620_NM8A/S(DB60female)>><<(DB60male)--cable--(DB25male)>> <<(DB25female)--cable--(DB9male)>><<(DB9female)--console_cable--(RJ45male)>>
<<(RJ45female)consoleportSwitch_Cisco
Router(DB60) is DCE and console port Switch (RJ45) is always DTE.
Cable <<(DB60male)--cable--(DB25male)>> is Serial Cable CAB-232MT which is DTE cable.
I can use this cable??
Or I should use this:
<<(DB60male)--cable--(DB25female)>>
which is Serial Cable CAB-232FC DCE cable.
Could You help me?

Hello Mateusz,
you should have of the following two:
CAB-232MT
EIA/TIA -232 DTE
10 feet (3 meters)
Male
CAB-232FC
EIA/TIA -232 DCE
10 feet (3 meters)
Female

Hope to help
