I am trying to figure out why I am getting these error messages on my 3750E switch:

Apr 23 18:34:39: %SFF8472-5-THRESHOLD_VIOLATION: Te1/0/1: Tx power low alarm; Operating value: -32.2 dBm, Threshold value: -12.2 dBm.

Apr 23 18:44:39: %SFF8472-5-THRESHOLD_VIOLATION: Te1/0/1: Tx power low alarm; Operating value: -32.2 dBm, Threshold value: -12.2 dBm.

Apr 23 18:54:40: %SFF8472-5-THRESHOLD_VIOLATION: Te1/0/1: Tx power low alarm; Operating value: -32.2 dBm, Threshold value: -12.2 dBm.

Apr 23 18:58:46: %SYS-5-CONFIG_I: Configured from console by gstewart on vty0 (10.24.133.149)

Apr 23 19:04:40: %SFF8472-5-THRESHOLD_VIOLATION: Te1/0/1: Tx power low alarm; Operating value: -32.2 dBm, Threshold value: -12.2 dBm.

Any suggestions?

How about "sh interface Ten1/0/1 trans detail"?

IT-ROOM-264-IDF#sh interface Ten1/0/1 trans detail

ITU Channel not available (Wavelength not available),

Transceiver is internally calibrated.

mA: milliamperes, dBm: decibels (milliwatts), NA or N/A: not applicable.

++ : high alarm, + : high warning, - : low warning, -- : low alarm.

A2D readouts (if they differ), are reported in parentheses.

The threshold values are calibrated.

Don't know with the other's opinion but your module (Ten 1/0/1) is has triggered an alarm after exceeding the lower treshold limit of -12.2dBm.

My recommendation is to get the module RMA-ed.
