MDS 9513 Storage switch.

Hi,

I have 2 MDS 9513 storage switches in 1 subnet 192.168.10.0/24 am able to ping within the subnet to other servers and devices to anf fro but not from out of the subnet for ex:- 192.168.11.0,as there is no access-list or distribute-list configured.

Is the default behaviour of MDS 9513,or any special configuration to be done for 9513 to be able to ping other subnets.

Can any body help me to understand.

You need a router or default gateway to route traffic between two subnets. Ensure the switch has a route to the server on other subnet. If you do not have a router or default gateway to route traffic between subnets. All the device must be in same subnet.
