I've got a couple 7935 conference phones that mysteriously "de-register" from the publisher (running CM 6.1), even though the other phones around them work fine.
Their software load is 3.1(1), which was meant for CM 4 and earlier, so I want to upgrade to 3.2(19).
I found Cisco's instructions on upgrading the firmware. My question is - what is my backout plan? Can I down-rev these phones by removing the new load and putting in an older one, or am I SOL?

You can, but should not be necessary.

You can definitely downgrade to an older firmware.
You can do it by changing the firmware build that it's to look for under Device Defaults or in the device settings itself in CM under "Phone Load Name" but the name of the firmware there for that phone if you want to only do a phone or 2. In either case, restart TFTP if you change either and reset the phone.
