All,

While defining rate limit for bandwidth we use committed Access Rate

e.x

rate-limit output 20000000 24000 24000 conform-action transmit exceed-action drop

How to calculate Normal burst rate

Burst Rate= CIR * (1/8) * 1.5

What is that 1.5 is for......

Many Thanks,

Quote:

"Bc(in bytes) = CIR(in bps) * (1byte)/(8 bits) * 1.5 seconds

Note: 1.5 seconds is an average round-trip time. If your average round-trip time is not 1.5 seconds, you should change this value to accurately represent the route trip time."

Thanks for your reply but how do we determine the round-trip time.

Thanks in Advance,

Saran
